Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of affecting the visibility of a website or a web page in a search engine's unpaid results - often referred to as "natural," "organic," or "earned" results.


In general, the earlier (or highly developed ranked going re for the search results page), and more frequently a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will concur from the search engine's users. SEO may object alternating kinds of search, including image search, local search, video search, academic search, news search and industry-specific vertical search engines.

As an Internet guidance strategy, SEO considers how search engines do something, what people search for, the actual search terms or keywords typed into search engines and which search engines are preferred by their targeted audience. Optimizing a website may influence editing its content, HTML and related coding to both enhancement its relevance to specific keywords and to surgically remove barriers to the indexing happenings of search engines. Promoting a site to join together the number of backlinks, or inbound connections, is unconventional SEO tactic.

The leading search engines, such as Google, Bing and Yahoo!, use crawlers to find pages for their algorithmic search results. Pages that are linked from other search engine indexed pages do not need to be submitted because they are found automatically. Two major directories, the Yahoo Directory and DMOZ both require manual submission and human editorial review.

Search Engine Optimization is the process of improving the visibility of a website on organic ("natural" or un-paid) search engine result pages (SERPs), by incorporating search engine friendly elements into a website. A successful search engine optimization campaign will have, as part of the improvements, carefully select, relevant, keywords which the on-page optimization will be designed to make prominent for search engine algorithms. Search engine optimization is broken down into two basic areas: on-page, and off-page optimization. On-page optimization refers to website elements which comprise a web page, such as HTML code, textual content, and images. Off-page optimization refers, predominantly, to backlinks (links pointing to the site which is being optimized, from other relevant websites).
